Warning over unauthorised use of the Australian Achiever Logo

www.fetucci.com is not authorised to use our logo
We note that www.fetucci.com, a clothing retailer operating out of California, USA, have commenced use of the Australian Achiever Awards logo (“the logo”), without firstly obtaining our authorisation to do so. Without authorisation, that use infringes copyright which subsists in the logo. Accordingly, we have requested them to remove our logo from their website.

UNDATED LOGOS ARE NOT AUTHORISED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE
If a business uses an Australian Achiever logo which does not display a date on it ( such as '1998' or ‘2007' etc ) then that business is making a false declaration.

All businesses that have achieved in these awards have been given authorisation to use the Australian Achiever Logo which displays the date of the year that they achieved the award.
In ALL cases, the logo must display that date.

Any business which is using the logo without a date may not have ever won the award and may have copied it OR they won it some years previously and have not updated it with proof of continuing customer care.
By the removal of the date, they appear to be trying to make the logo “current” which is misleading.
